Péter Forgács (’06 NYU) has been appointed Hungarian Cultural Ambassador 2010. The title set up in 2007 is granted to persons who promote and represent Hungarian culture and Hungary abroad.

A Gandhi Gimnázium, Kollégium, Általános Iskola és Alapfokú Művészeti Iskola tanulójaként kezdte el látogatni az American Corner Pecset, majd két rövid távú amerikai csereprogram után 800 jelentkező közül került be az első magyarországi FLEX évfolyam 9 döntőse közé. Az Ohio állambeli Columbus-ban szerzett FLEX tapasztalatai arra ösztönözték, hogy jelentkezzen a Columbus State Community College-ba, ahol további 5 évet tölt majd, és ahol újra találkozik FLEX vendéglátó családjával. From a small village in Baranya county, Zoltán worked very hard to make his American dream come true. He started visiting American Corner Pecs as a student at Gandhi High School, then after two short-term U.S. exchange programs, he was selected among the 9 finalists of the first FLEX generation in Hungary from 800 applicants. His FLEX experience in Columbus, Ohio, inspired him to apply to Columbus State Community College where he will spend 5 more years, reuniting with his FLEX host family. Congratulations, Zoli, way to go! ✨
