Fulbright meeting with Members of the Parliament

Fulbright Meeting with MPsSix Fulbright alumni: András Szalai (’11 George Washington University), Anita Székely (’11 Boston University, Humphrey Fellow), Mária Flamich & Rita Hoffmann (’11 University of California, Berkeley), László Rosivall (’04 University of Alabama at Birmingham) and Ingrid Alexovics (’09 Atlantic City High School, NJ) were invited to represent the Fulbright alumni community on November 21, 2012 at the Hungarian Parliament. Károly Jókay, Executive Director and Huba Brückner, Director Emeritus were also present.

Among others, the following MPs asked questions on the activities of the Hungarian Fulbright Commission at the meeting:

  • Mihály Balla (Fidesz) president, Foreign Affairs Committee
  • János Horváth (Fidesz) member, Foreign Affairs Committee; president, IPU Hungarian Division and a U.S. Fulbright alumnus himself (’58 University of the Philippines)
  • Lajos Pősze (independent) vice president, IPU Hungarian-American Friendship group
  • Vilmos Szabó (MSZP) member, Foreign Affairs Committee
  • Andor Nagy (KDNP) member, Foreign Affairs Committee
  • Katalin Ertsey (LMP) member, Foreign Affairs Committee
