Equal Opportunity Day concert
Harmony Foundation, the U.S. Embassy in Budapest and the Hungarian-American Fulbright Commission cordially invite you to the performance in Nádor Hall, Institute for Visually Impaired Children (Budapest, XIV., Ajtósi Dürer sor 39.) by Rita Hoffmann & Mária Flamich (’11 University of California, Berkeley) at 7.30 p.m. on May 5, 2015 to promote Equality to come true, like Gottfried Heinrich’s Dream.
European Day of Equal Opportunities is celebrated on May 5th according to the European Social Charter. Although it is a day especially dedicated to minorities including persons with disabilities in Europe, it is also the European day of Independent Living. As the idea of independent living was born in the City of Berkeley, we have thought to combine the day and the idea to highlight the supranational understanding of dignity of persons with disability.
