Bio Briquettes Factory

Building Community_2014: an exhibition at the Association of Hungarian Architects on a bio briquettes factory built in Monor. The project was financed by a 2013 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund grant to the Hungarian International Exchange Alumni Team coordinated by Katalin Fazekas (’12 Portland State University) and Miklós Oroszlány (’11 Auburn University).
The aim of the grant was to develop a self-sustaining program based on utilization of bio briquette in order to empower a Roma community and at the same time to strengthen the commitment of young designers toward public interest design.
The bio briquettes factory project was featured at the Think Global, Build Social! exhibition in Budapest on March 23, 2016.
