Timothy Jull on Carpathian GlaciersTimothy Jull (’12 Hungarian Academy of Sciences) researches on the glaciers of the Carpathian mountains was featured in Magyar Nemzet, the 2nd largest Hungarian daily. Pictured with Mihály Molnár (’07 University of Arizona) who visited the laboratory led by Professor Jull in Tucson as a Fulbright researcher and felt it natural that they should continue close collaboration. The British-born scientist was one of the winners of the Invitation 13 competition conducted by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and thus could continue his work at HAS‘s Institute for Nuclear Research (ATOMKI) in Debrecen.

During the 3rd season of the Meet the Scientist Program 9 high schools (5 in Budapest and 4 in the countryside) were visited by former Fulbright scholars and current U.S. grantees. Lectures were followed by spectacular experiments presented by the Palace of Miracles.
