The Mother-Centered Pregnancy Care Project
With the support of a Fulbright research award, Nick Rubashkin (’13 Semmelweis University) collaborated with Imre Szebik and many members of the Institute of Behavioral Sciences to adapt the American survey Listening to Mothers to the Hungarian context. The survey, called the “Mother-Centered Pregnancy Care” project, obtained 1250 responses. The survey explores women’s satisfaction with different pregnancy care options in Hungary. This lecture will review the methodology and preliminary results, exploring informed consent; health care decision making; informal cash payments; overuse of care.
