Awards to the United States for 2005-2006

Preferences

The Fulbright Program accepts candidates from the fields of arts and humanities, the social sciences, and the natural and applied sciences. Priority is given to the social sciences and humanities, especially those related to the United States or to contemporary developments in Hungary, such as studies related to democratic progress.

In keeping with the spirit of the Fulbright Program, special preference will be given to candidates who appear best able to share their newly acquired experience and knowledge upon their return. Preference will also be given to qualified applicants who have not had extensive overseas experience. Upon returning to Hungary, Fulbrighters are expected to contribute directly or indirectly to further develop the relationships between the two countries through their professional and personal activities.
